You can use these exercises to make the most of your time! The 12's package is built for the basic approach of developing a 1" height stroke along with learning to stop the stick. The 168's package is developed for the advanced ensemble to grow rapidly on all levels. The benefit of both packages being a specific and focused length is you can pick and choose what each section needs to work on. Lets say snares are having issues with playing para-diddles and quads are have issues stopping the stick. Instead of spending twice the amount of time working on separate exercises , the snares can play the para-diddle break down pattern while the quads play one of the accent patterns.
